The complexes show room temperature magnetic moment order of 1.0 B.M. per copper atom. The X-band ESR spectrum of powdered samples at room temperature shows typical Dm=1 transition at gav=2.075 for 1,10-phenanthroline and gav=2.085 for 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine, and much weaker Dm=2 transition at half field which is the characteristic of dimeric unit.}, keywords = {Copper(II),Dinuclear and monohydroxo bridged}, url = {https://ijcce.ac.ir/article_10197.html}, eprint = {https://ijcce.ac.ir/article_10197_4d31fb6442443ed86229575c079d772d.pdf} } @article { author = {Rounaghi, Gholam Hossein and Hosseini, Mohammad Saeed and Ghiamati, Ebrahim}, title = {Competitive Spectrophotometric Study of Copper, Zinc and Cadmium With 18C6 Using TAR as a Colorimetric Complexing Agent in Methanol}, journal = {Iranian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering}, volume = {17}, number = {1}, pages = {4-7}, year = {1998}, publisher = {Iranian Institute of Research and Development in Chemical Industries (IRDCI)-ACECR}, issn = {1021-9986}, eissn = {}, doi = {10.30492/ijcce.1998.10306}, abstract = {A Competitive spectrophotometric method has been used for the study of complexation between Cu2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ (M) and 18-crown-6(18C6, B) in methanol using 4-(2-thiazolylazo) resorcinol (TAR, HL) as the colorimetric complexant. Absorption spectra of the species in the M-TAR-18 C6 system at a various concentrations of 18C6 showed no formation of ternary complex, MLB, and the stoichiometry of the resulting complexes was found to be 1:1 under the condition used. The formation constants of both types of complexes (ML and MB) were determined using the conditional formation constant of ML complexes at constant acidity in the absence (KML') and presence (KM''L') of 18C6. The results showed that the KMB values increased in the order of Cu2+
